In other news, she has started pulling up to stand on her own! She pulls up on toys...
Bookshelves (thankfully anchored to the wall), furniture, and my legs while I'm sitting on the floor or in a chair.
Will she go straight to walking? What did your child do and what age did they crawl, walk, etc?
She'll be 8 months tomorrow! Seriously, that close to her 1st birthday... unbelievable!?!?!?

My son crawled and walked very early. I can't remember exactly when he started crawling, but he took his first steps at 8 months and could actually do a cute little baby run by 10 months. My middle daughter was a whole different story. At her first birthday party, she still couldn't walk, even though she started crawling around 7 or 8 months. She started walking around 13 months but the girl couldn't run straight until recently and she's 2 1/2. Lol.
It's a fun milestone but everything changes once they can walk. :)

i agree with jamie, amelia has been crawling for so long now... and not remotely interested in walking on her own! sophia will walk before amelia, i'm sure!

My son started walking at 10 months. It didn't take long once he was crawling.. he was more interested in walking.
My daughter was about a year old when she started walking. She was pulling herself up and "cruising" around furniture for months before walking!

I am so familiar with the "pick me up" whine. My Sofia does it too. She's in the same pseudo crawl phase, but can almost completely pull herself up onto anything and likes to sit on her knees.
